Job summary

Humboldt Public School is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Caretaker to commence as soon as possible. The role involves maintaining the school facilities, performing cleaning tasks, and ensuring safety in line with the HSSA Agreement. Work hours are 8 hours per day, arranged by the principal.

Applicants will need a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and WHMIS certification. A Fireman certificate would be an asset. Criminal record and vulnerable sector checks are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent.
• WHMIS certification must be valid.
• Knowledge of building maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes, products and equipment.
• Knowledge in basic maintenance and tools.
• Fireman Certificate would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building maintenance as directed by the caretaker supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety per established procedures.
• Follow schedules and instructions from the Caretaking Supervisor.
