These full-time, shared positions require morning and afternoon shifts to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. Responsibilities include daily cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting classrooms, hallways and common areas, while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or maintenance experience is an asset but not required.
• Must be of legal age (18) for background checks.

Full Time - 40 hours/week

Horizon School Division is currently seeking two (2) reliable and dedicated Caretaker Assistants to join our team at D.A. Ferguson and W.R. Myers. These shared positions play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Details:

These are full-time split-shift positions, working mornings from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and afternoons 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the school. This includes daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, and common areas.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate(s) are dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Previous custodial or maintenance experience is considered an asset but is not required. A strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a commitment to safety are essential.

The position commences as soon as a suitable candidate(s) are found.
