First Student in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is hiring a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair school buses, ensuring safety and reliability for students across the community.

The role offers a Monday–Friday day shift, competitive hourly pay of $39.88 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and RRSP with company match. A sign-on bonus is offered, and ASE testing support is provided to advance within the company.

Qualificações

• Diesel/automotive maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
• Vehicle diagnostics and problem-solving skills essential.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and perform vehicle maintenance including brakes, tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, and transmissions.
• Complete work orders accurately; assist with mobile emergency repairs as needed.
