Job summary

Voyago seeks a Part-Time School Bus Driver for Halton, starting September for the 2026/2027 year. Responsibilities include safe student transport on wheelchair routes, daily inspections, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness, while upholding safety and professional standards.

Shifts are roughly 6:30am–9:15am and 1:00pm–4:30pm, Monday–Friday, with training provided if needed. You must be 21+, hold a G-class license (or upgrade possible), have a clean driving record, and be comfortable working with

Qualifications

• You hold a valid G class license for at least 1 year.
• Preference for a B class licence; training provided if you don’t have B or E.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain a vulnerable sector check.
• Sound knowledge of Halton and surrounding area.
• Ability to work independently.
• Shifts: Monday to Friday roughly 6:30am–9:15am and 1:00pm–4:30pm.
• Basic computer skills for maps or GPS navigation.
• Safety-focused approach to transporting students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on wheelchair/Para routes.
• Prioritize student safety during boarding, transit, and alighting.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections for safe vehicle operation.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and basic upkeep; assist with fueling as needed.
• Complete daily Hours of Service reports and required paperwork.
• Report any mechanical issues immediately.
• Address student behaviour issues professionally per company procedures.
• Participate in ongoing safety trainings and policy updates.
• Demonstrate professionalism and care for all passengers.

Voyago is hiring a School Bus Driver in Halton for the 2026/2027 school year!

We are currently seeking 1 Part-Time Driver to cover a Wheelchair/Para route in Halton starting in September!

Your role:

• Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
• Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
• Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
• Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers

Your profile:

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year (preference will be given to those with a B class licence)
• If you don’t currently hold a B or E Class licence, Voyago has you covered, full training is provided at no cost to you!
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving recordYou can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• You have sound knowledge of Halton and surrounding area
• You have the ability to work independently
• You are available for the required shifts:
• Monday to Friday approximately 6:30am to 9:15am AND 1:00pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
• You possess solid communication skills
• You enjoy being around children with disabilities of all ages
• You are physically capable of bending, twisting and getting low to the ground to secure wheelchairs
• You are comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
• You are comfortable driving large vehicles
• You have basic computer skills and can easily navigate Google Maps or a GPS unit

Hourly Rate:

By joining the Voyago Schools team, you’ll find we offer competitive hourly pay!

• Your hourly rate will be $22.20 per hour!

• Drivers should be located in the Halton area as the route will start and end in this location
• Got a driveway with some extra space? You can park your bus at home for the school year!
• No space? No problem. We also have a few park-out locations so your ride is never too far away!
