Job summary

Voyago is seeking part‑time School Bus Drivers for the 2026/2027 school year in Grey Bruce. You will transport students safely, follow safety protocols, and conduct vehicle inspections to ensure reliable service.

The role requires a valid G‑class license (or willingness to upgrade), a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain a vulnerable sector check. Shifts run Monday to Friday with potential for extra charter hours, and full‑time staff receive a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid minimum full G-class licence held for at least one year or willingness to obtain B or E class (training provided).
• Age 21 years or older.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening.

• Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assistance with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well‑kept, professional vehicle.
• Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle.
• Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations.
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.

Requirements

• Safety focused.
• Valid minimum full G class driver’s licence held for at least one year, or willing to obtain a B or E Class licence (training provided at no cost).
• Age 21 years or older.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening.
• Solid knowledge of Grey Bruce and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work independently.
• Available for the required shifts: Monday to Friday approximately 6:30 am to 9:30 am and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm (start and end times may vary by route).
• Strong communication skills.
• Enjoyable experience around children of all ages.
• Comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions.
• Comfortable driving large vehicles.

Schedule

3.5 hour minimum daily shift with opportunities for additional hours on charters.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay of $21.65 per hour.
