Job summary

First Student in Wallaceburg, ON is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver. You will start mornings with student pickup and return home in the afternoon, with optional hours for field trips and events. No experience is required and we provide expert training to help you become a safe, professional driver.

Drive a morning and afternoon route Monday to Friday with no nights, weekends, holidays, or summers. Benefits include EAP support, discounts, and guaranteed minimum hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial License.
• Experience driving for ride-share or taxi services is a plus.
• Customer service or teaching-related background is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and ensure safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety rules.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.

As a Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You will start students’ days with morning pickup before school and transport them safely back home in the afternoon.
