Job summary

First Student is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers to cover routes in Ajax and surrounding communities such as Whitby, Pickering, Uxbridge, Scugog, Port Perry and Oshawa. You will start mornings with pickups and transport students safely to school, with no nights, weekends, holidays, or summers required.

We provide expert training and guidance to help you become a safe and professional First Student driver.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Full G license for at least 1 year is required.
• Part-time schedule with daytime hours and summers off.
• Enjoy working with students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre-trip inspections.
• Report issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.

As a Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You will start students' days with morning pickup before school and transport them safely back home in the afternoon. Additional hours for field trips and special event transportation may be available. No experience is necessary to become a school bus driver!

Your day as a School Bus Driver will include:

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
