Job summary

First Student is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver to serve Barrie and Angus, ON. You will begin mornings with student pickups and return them home in the afternoon, with potential hours for field trips and special events. No experience needed; comprehensive training is provided to help you become a safe, professional driver.

The role includes a guaranteed minimum of 4 hours per day and a supportive team environment with opportunities for flexible scheduling and community impact.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Full G license for 1 year or more.
• Part-time schedule with summers off is available.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.

As a Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You will start students’ days with morning pickup before school and transport them safely back home in the afternoon. Additional hours for field trips and special event transportation may be available. No experience is necessary to become a school bus driver! Pay Details

• Hourly Rate: $20.91 per hour
