Voyago is hiring a School Bus Dispatcher in Kingston, Ontario to support Tri-Board Student Transportation Services. The role involves dispatching drivers, coordinating routes, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced startup environment.

The position runs year-round with a 5:30 am start and offers full-time hours, competitive pay, and benefits. A valid Ontario G license and clean record are required, and accommodations are available during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Dispatch experience in transportation or service industry.
• Able to communicate via radio with enroute drivers.
• Strong time and stress management skills.
• Multitasker who can prioritize urgent tasks.
• Initiative to solve problems and locate data.
• Ability to follow procedures to meet obligations.
• Solid customer service experience.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Good understanding of the transportation industry.
• Valid Ontario G license.
• A clean driving abstract and criminal background check.
• Knowledge of Kingston area and surrounding regions.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and provide accurate directions.
• Deliver high levels of customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Creatively arrange routes and resources to cover shifts.
• Handle calls, recurring rides and event coordination.
• Incident reporting and timely dispatch.
• Direct drivers to road closures and delays.
• Ensure runs and drivers are on time.
• Generate reports as directed by supervisor.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance when needed.
• Answer phones, fax and email professionally.
