Job summary
CASA Mental Health is seeking a Therapy Support Assistant to work within the CASA Classrooms program in Grande Prairie. You will develop and implement treatment plans for children and adolescents, participate in family therapy sessions, and collaborate with schools and clinicians to support student success.
The role requires knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic and educational practices, strong organization, and the ability to work autonomously.
Qualifications
- Degree in social work or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience with children or youth.
- Experience working in a school setting is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans for children/adolescents.
- Participate in family therapy sessions and program reviews.
- Implement models of individual, group and family therapy.
- Conduct calls to schools/parents to gather information or explain strategies.
- Assist in group facilitation and notes.
- Attend planning sessions and case conferences.
- Use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention to prevent/de-escalate crises.
- Ensure reporting of patient safety events.
- Complete EMR documentation and collaborate on reports.
- Execute tasks as directed by the Program Manager.
