Job summary

Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 1.0 FTE temporary assignment in Ottawa. The SLP leads screening, direct supervision of support staff, parent consultation, and collaboration with educators to support students with speech and language goals.

The successful candidate will work within the Special Education and Student Services Department, align with school-based case conferences, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Eligible for registration with CASLPO.
• 2 years of related experience in Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology.
• Strong observation and coaching skills for student assessments and educator consultation.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Screening and/or assessment of students with speech and/or language concerns.
• Direct supervision of Communicative Disorders Assistants.
• Consultation with parents/guardians on speech and language needs and activities.
• Educator consultation for Augmentative and Alternative Communication needs.
• Development and delivery of professional learning for educators and parents.
• Coordinate with external Speech-Language Pathology services.
