Job summary

Wood’s Homes in Calgary is seeking a skilled Clinician to join the William Taylor Learning Centre School-Based Mental Health Program. You will support children, youth, and families within a dynamic learning environment where education and mental health treatment come together.

This graduate-level role emphasizes relationship-based practice, interdisciplinary teamwork, and creative approaches. You will provide direct clinical services while collaborating with school staff, families, and community

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Psychology/ Social Work/ Family Nursing/ Art Therapy or related field.
• Current registration or active pursuit of registration with the appropriate professional association.
• Eligibility for licensure under Alberta’s Health Professions Act where applicable.
• Demonstrated clinical experience with supervisory/program development considered an asset.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct treatment services to a caseload of children, youth, and families (family, individual, group therapy).
• Complete assigned client assessments and prepare written reports per guidelines.
• Maintain timely, high-quality clinical records.
• Collaborate as an active member of interdisciplinary teams.
• Build strong relationships with youth, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Provide clinical consultation to Wood’s Homes programs and support training as needed.
• Contribute to research/special projects as assigned.
• Engage in supervision and ongoing professional development.
• Complete required health and safety training and report hazards.
