Job summary

The Northwest Catholic District School Board is advertising an interim replacement for a Child and Youth Worker at Sacred Heart School. The position is 1.0 FTE with a 35-hour work week, starting September 5, 2026, through June 25, 2027. Hourly pay is $38.03 per hour under CUPE Schedule A.

Qualifications

• Requires secondary school diploma or equivalent and a three-year Diploma in Child and Youth Care.
• CPI training and First Aid Certification required.
• Experience supporting children with autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Mental Health Lead and School Counsellors to support high-need students.
• Facilitate social emotional learning and life skills in classrooms.
• Develop safety plans and collaborate with outside agencies as required.
• Maintain reports and records per policies; participate in professional development.
• Assist with nutrition break programming and group activities.
