Job summary

CFT Recycling in Stittsville, ON is seeking an energetic Scale House Operator to be the first point of contact for customers and drivers. You’ll manage weigh-in/out, enter vehicle and material data, handle cash transactions, and maintain digital records using Google Workspace.

The role requires 3–5 years in scale house or logistics admin, strong attention to detail and reliability. Shifts are Monday to Friday 8:00–4:00 with every second Saturday 9:00–2:00, with group benefits and growth

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a scale house, dispatch, or administrative/logistics environment.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organization.
• Professional, personable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Reliable transportation required; location not accessible by public transit.
• Availability to work a rotational schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00–16:00 and alternate Saturdays 9:00–14:00.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for an energetic, professional, and customer-focused individual to operate our Scale House at our Stittsville location. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring every interaction reflects our high standard of service. The ideal candidate brings a mix of confidence, accuracy, and organization — someone who can handle fast-paced days with a smile.

The pay range for this position is $20-25 per hour depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter vehicle and material data into the system
• Handle cash transactions and issue payment slips
• Maintain accurate digital records using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Answer and manage a high volume of inbound calls daily

• Keep the scale house clean, organized, and professional
• Support other yard or office tasks as needed

• Reliable transportation is required, as the work location is not accessible by public transportation
• Availability to work a rotational schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with every second Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
