Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant field.
• 8 to 10 years of overall experience in data solutions development.
• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, and related data pipeline management.
• 5+ years of Scala experience.
• Familiarity with Akka/Pekko (2-3 years).
• Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Scala Spark Developer - AKKA/PEKKO. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and systems to support large-scale data collection, storage, and retrieval. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement data privacy measures, and optimise data processes to deliver actionable insights.

Pay rate range (CAD): $75.36/hr – $90.43/hr
