Job description

Day to Day Responsibilities

– Determining job requirements and planning/configuring scaffolding.

– Erection of scaffolding of various types, establishing platforms and safety measures.

– Dismantling and removing on completion.

– Undertaking checking/assessing and when directed.

– Help to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.

– Carry out tasks within agreed time limits.

– Contribute towards the smooth running of the team.

This is a Union role with Marine & Shipbuilders CMAW Local 506.

  • Health, Welfare & Pension Package: Excellent benefits package after completion of 480 hours.
  • Wage: Starting at $52.33 per hour.
  • Shift Differentials (if applicable): $3.25 per hour for afternoon shift, $4.65 per hour for graveyard.
  • Overtime: Double time.
