Job description

Here are details for the Industrial Scaffolder (Journeyman) position.

Responsibilities:

  • Scaffolding and site supervision (crew: labourers, apprentices and trades helpers)
  • Coordination of all job skills training
  • Prepare staff, project, and production reports
  • Ensure all construction site safety requirements are met
  • Equipment operation
  • Ability to interpret drawings

Job Qualifications:

  • Completion of applicable Technical Training such as SAIA or international equivalent (CIRS/CITB/FAS/CSCS) and in coherence with Union apprenticeship guidelines for tube and fitting and modular training
  • Minimum 5 years of specific scaffold experience (commercial and/or industrial projects)
  • Minimum 3 years temporary roofing experience and containment structures
  • A minimum of 4 years experience with tube and clamp
  • Supervisory experience an asset.
  • Advanced Scaffolding Ticket
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License or equivalent
  • First Aid Certification
  • Criminal Record Check and Basic Security Clearance
  • Must own tools/equipment, steel toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses
  • Member of BCRCC local 1907
