Job summary

Desjardins is seeking an SAS BI advisor to collect and valorize data from multiple channels, turning it into meaningful insights for business decisions. You will work on analytics development initiatives using data tailored to business needs and data from databases.

You will apply your SAS and SQL programming skills, contribute to describing and analyzing data, and support decision-making with clear recommendations. The role involves a hybrid work arrangement in the Montreal area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence or information technology.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience developing queries.
• Programming experience in SAS and SQL.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Knowledge of data warehouses.

You assist clients on analytics development initiatives that involve using data tailored to business needs. You work on complex business projects and initiatives using data from the databases. You use your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of your line of business. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Use database management systems and extract relevant data.
• Identify opportunities to improve methods and processes, and recommend improvements to data management tools.
• Oversee the operation of databases.
• Conduct research and descriptive and diagnostic analysis to ensure optimal data use. Make recommendations in line with business issues and needs.
• Make recommendations to support business decision-making.
