Our Montreal-based client is seeking a SAP Variant Configuration (VC) Subject Matter Expert contractor to join their project starting July 7th, 2025, until September 30th, 2025, with a possibility of extension. This key initiative involves re-imagining the user experience while leveraging SAP VC as the primary data source.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understanding the intricacies of SAP VC, including its modules, functionalities, and configurations, is crucial. This includes knowledge of vehicle variants, BOM structures, and configuration logic.
- Configuration Profiles: Defining how a vehicle can be configured, including the available options and dependencies.
- Characteristics, Classes, and Dependencies: Using these elements to define the features and relationships between options.
- BOMs (Bills of Materials): Managing the components required for each vehicle configuration.
- Configuring Materials: Skilled in defining and managing characteristics for configurable materials, such as model, color, engine, and other options.
- Deep understanding of the automotive industry, including specific processes, regulations, and requirements, is vital for successful integration and implementation.
Nice to Have :
- Experience with VC to create web-based configurators that allow customers to choose options and see the resulting vehicle specifications.
- Experience with AVC (Advanced Variant Configuration), the newer, more advanced module in SAP S/4HANA, offering more flexibility and features.
- Experience with Flow Catia to web configurator.
- Experience with integrating Teamcenter with SAP, including the use of the Teamcenter Gateway for SAP (T4ST) or other integration tools, is essential. This involves understanding data mapping, process flows, and potential challenges of system integration.
- French speaking is an asset.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
