Job summary

A leading company in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced SAP consultant with a strong background in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial modules and will be responsible for managing implementations, providing support, and enhancing SAP solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while mentoring junior team members. Candidates with Tier 1 Automotive OEM experience are preferred.

Location : Toronto, Canada (1st Preference Local in Canada)

2nd preference US candidates, but need travel to Canada (Expenses Paid)

Job Description :

7 to 12 years of SAP ECC and S / 4 HANA experience in implementation, support, and rollout projects. Deep understanding of Business Process Knowledge. Understanding of project implementation methodologies. ITIL processes. Design, implement, and support the SAP solution. Work on support engagement and manage priority-based tickets, knowledge of SLAs, and playing a vital role in identifying RCA. Contribute to competency development and coordinate with the technical team on custom objects. Interact with customers to understand requirements, propose solutions, and methodologies.

Here's how you'll contribute :

SAP experience supporting General Ledger plus 3 or more of the following functions: Financial Accounting, Management Accounting (General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Product Costing, COPA, Project System).

You’ll do this by :

  • Managing and owning all aspects of technical development and delivery.
  • Understanding requirements and writing Functional Specification documents.
  • Being an individual contributor with a client-facing lead role.
  • Having SAP Certification and Domain experience (preferable).
  • Estimating efforts, identifying risks, and providing technical support.
  • Demonstrating multitasking ability and re-prioritizing responsibilities based on dynamic requirements.
  • Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules like MM, HR, PP, SD, and PM.
  • Leading and mentoring small-sized teams.

A highly motivated natural team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Skilled in delivering in a goal-oriented, target-driven work environment.

Design, customize, configure, and test FI / CO modules.

Preparation of blueprints for project implementation.

Validate report requirements and any changes in customization.

Address day-to-day queries of end users.

Enhancement of SAP for end users based on requirements.

Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (focus on FICO Controlling – Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead assessment).

Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.

Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements.

Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.

Identify gaps, issues, and work-around solutions.

Document functional designs, test cases, and results.

Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.

Provide consulting services on both new implementations and support projects.

Act as a liaison between business functions and the technical team.

Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.

Work independently; may act as a subject matter mentor to junior members.

  • Perform root cause analysis on major problems.
  • Provide technical direction for complex SAP S / 4 finance issues.
  • Experience in SAP Rollouts.
  • Expertise in configuring and implementing FI and CO modules.
  • Integration of Finance with other SAP solutions.
  • Conduct complex solutioning workshops.
  • Master Data preparation.
  • Go-Live activities.
  • Configure global settings for electronic bank statements, lockbox control, and posting data.
  • Configure activity types in CO-PC module.
  • Participate in configuring FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR modules.
  • Experience with CO module components: Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, COPA, Variances, and Profit Centers.
  • Knowledge of Taxes, Currencies, and Exchange Rates.
  • Experience working with SAP interfaces.
