Job Overview:

• Our client is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Functional Consultant to support current and upcoming billing-related projects.
• This role will be primarily focused on SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing, but requires a flexible, cross-functional approach.
• Candidates with additional expertise in related IS-U modules such as FICA and Device Management will be prioritized, as this allows for project adaptability and resource optimization during potential gaps in billing project delivery.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP Billing Functional Consultant serves as a subject matter expert in SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing, supporting ongoing and new billing initiatives.
• Analyze business requirements, design functional solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver system configurations, enhancements, and optimizations.
• Provide hands-on support for billing processes, invoicing, and bill print functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP IS-U Billing and related modules (FICA, Device Management).
• Assist with the integration and support of SAP MCF Gateway and its interaction with billing systems.
• Support or lead workstreams in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, particularly within the IS-U scope.
• Contribute to initiatives related to green energy programs and AMI smart meter integrations, and usage data management.
• Document functional specifications, test scenarios, and configuration decisions following established standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical resources to ensure the successful delivery and support of SAP solutions.
• Remain adaptable to project resourcing needs in areas beyond billing as priorities evolve.
  
  

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing, including full lifecycle implementations and production support.
• SAP Certifications in the following modules:
• SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing
• SAP IS-U FICA
• SAP IS-U Device Management
• Proven knowledge of bill print design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with SAP IS-U FICA and Device Management modules and integration points.
• Exposure to SAP MCF Gateway for customer-facing billing functionality.
• Involvement in SAP S/4HANA projects, particularly with IS-U components.
• Experience supporting green energy programs and AMI smart meter technology.
• Ability to operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced, evolving project environment.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and support cross-functional IS-U initiatives.
• Familiarity with utility industry billing practices and regulations.
• Proficiency in functional documentation, testing, and training support.
