Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Consultant

Our client is seeking an experienced ABAP Programmer with expertise in SAP data archiving to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP ABAP programming and hands-on experience with SAP Data Archiving, ensuring optimal system performance, compliance with data retention policies, and efficient data management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, focusing on optimizing data processing.
2. Implement and manage SAP data archiving processes, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal data retention policies.
3. Work closely with functional and technical teams to gather requirements and develop efficient ABAP solutions.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ABAP programming and data archiving processes.
5. Perform system performance optimization, identifying opportunities to improve data storage efficiency.
6. Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementation projects, contributing to data archiving strategy development and execution.
7. Document technical specifications, user guides, and best practices for data archiving.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2 years focused on data archiving.
3. Strong knowledge of SAP Data Archiving processes and best practices.
4. Proficiency in ABAP development tools (e.g., SAP NetWeaver, ABAP Workbench).
5. Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and analyzing large data sets.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Familiarity with SAP HANA, Fiori, or S/4HANA environments is a plus.
