Job summary

J&L Beef is seeking a Sanitation Worker for our Cloverdale facility on a part-time basis. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing the production area in line with HACCP and CFIA regulations, and includes lifting and moving products, using high-pressure hoses, and performing general cleanup duties.

The position requires comfort with raw meat, a wet environment, and fast-paced work. English proficiency is required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Be able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada and be minimum 18 years of age.
• You need to be comfortable working around raw meat products.
• Comfortable working in a wet environment with warm/cool temperatures.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Able to handle extended periods of static tasks with alertness
• Positive attitude and safety focused
• Willingness to develop new skills
• Previous cleaning experience including GMP’s, and WHIMS are an asset
• Attention to detail and ability to find defects in product streams
• Ability to operate mobile equipment such as power jack, forklift, scissor lift, and any other mobile equipment would be considered an asset

$19.91 - $19.91 an hour
