Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a sanitation associate for the 10:30pm–7:00am shift. You will follow SSOPs to clean production equipment, ensure food safety/hygiene, and record activities. Basic English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Minimum six months of sanitation experience preferred; supervisory skills are valued for potential advancement. The role involves multi-level facilities, potential weekend work, and the need to manage supplies and chemical concentrations while complying with COP/CIP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Must have Industrial Food Sanitation Experience.
• Ability to communicate in basic English; Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to work third shift (10:30pm–7:00am) and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follows SSOPs and cleans production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Records sanitation activities and notifies supervision of progress or issues.
• Assists with ordering supplies when needed and monitors chemical concentrations.
• Operates COP/CIP systems and maintains sanitation records.

Job Summary

• Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
• Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations.
• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
• Familiarity with refractometers a plus

Language Skills

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Supervisory skills are desired.
• Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Work Environment

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
