Job summary

Dare Foods is hiring for FULL TIME Sanitation positions on the night shift at our Canada facility. You will clean, sanitize and maintain equipment daily in accordance with SSOPs and health and safety guidelines.

This unionized role starts at $19.14 per hour with a progression rate. Candidates should be detail oriented, able to work in a self-paced environment, and comfortable handling cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with moving and dismantling equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Lockout-tagout knowledge.
• Exposure to/working with chemicals (detergents, bleach, etc.).
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
• Must be physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the facility daily.
• Complete daily sanitation tasks per the Sanitation Checklist.
• Perform non-daily cleaning tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Ensure manufacturing equipment is cleaned, sanitized and handled per company standards.
• Assist in cleaning production lines and maintain timely cleaning.
• Follow SSOPs and health and safety rules.

Job Overview:

We are recruiting for FULL TIME Sanitation positions on the night shift on a varying scheduled basis. These are unionized positions starting wage begins at $19.14 per hour with progression rate.

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility daily, as well as completing separate non-daily cleaning as per direction from the Sanitation Supervisor.

• Maintain a high level of sanitation in all areas of the facility.
• Complete all daily sanitation tasks, as per the Sanitation Checklist.
• Complete additional non-daily cleaning tasks, as per the required frequency
• Ensures that all manufacturing equipment are cleaned, sanitized and handled according to company standards
• Assists in the cleaning of production lines and ensures that lines are properly cleaned within the acceptable time frame
• Individual must be able to work in a self-paced environment. Individual will need to be detail oriented which will ensure that the cleaning/sanitation functions are executed according to the SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
• Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
• Individual will be required to work with cleaning chemicals and variety of cleaning tools such as brushes, cloths, buckets, mops, walk-behind floor scrubber and equipment foamer/sanitizer.
• Individual will take direction from the Sanitation Team Lead or Supervisor for training and task assignments.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties.
