Job summary

Advantage Personnel is seeking a Sanitation Associate for a food-grade distribution facility in the Guelph area. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment in line with GMP and safety standards; you will sanitize production and warehouse areas and maintain sanitation records.

Requires prior cleaning experience, the ability to walk/stand in a large facility, experience with industrial cleaning equipment, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably within a food-grade facility.
• Ability to walk, stand, and bend within a large facility.
• Experience with industrial cleaning machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of production, warehouse, and common areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Clean and disinfect equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and work surfaces using industrial cleaning tools and equipment.
• Follow sanitation schedules and documented cleaning procedures.
• Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and sanitation supplies.
• Remove waste, recyclables, and other materials from designated areas.
• Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with company standards.
• Report any maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support quality assurance and food safety initiatives, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintain accurate sanitation records and complete required documentation.

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00/hr
