Job summary

Highline Mushrooms in Crossfield, AB is seeking a permanent, full-time cleaner/sanitation worker for night shifts (8:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will maintain cleanliness of the Harvest Hall, machinery and facilities, with roughly 50 hours per week and overtime eligibility.

Duties include sanitizing equipment, setting up units for harvest, trash removal, and daily maintenance. The role requires 16+ and a Canadian work eligibility, plus farm sanitation experience and operation of heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous farm hygiene/sanitation experience.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize Axis Harvest Hall, platform, Axis machinery, harvest equipment on a scheduled basis.
• Set up the MPU units, mushroom fingers for following day harvest as directed by mgmt. team using the MPU cleaning procedure.
• Ensures tracking and sign-off of all completed duties as assigned to the team.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash, removing garbage bags and disposing in waste skips.
• Bring mushroom stems bins to designated area.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Operates floor scrubber.
• Move supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of harvest facilities, machinery and equipment on a nightly basis.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Earnings:

• $20.60 Hourly
