Job summary

Paris Baguette - Bloor Street is seeking a dedicated Sandwich Team Member to join our cafe. You will prepare sandwiches and salads, assist across restaurant areas, and create dressings and sauces to support the team.

Your role includes keeping displays attractive and ensuring products are stocked and organized for guests. The position emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and brand knowledge to deliver Paris Baguette’s welcoming bakery café experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of food handling or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife handling.
• Ability to perform arithmetic for units and measurements.
• Strong customer service, internal and external.
• High emotional intelligence and teamwork.
• Brand ambassador with understanding of Paris Baguette values.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads.
• Assist and support in all restaurant areas as needed.
• Make dressings and sauces for sandwiches and pastries.
• Maintain presentable display for customers.
• Complete production, usage and waste reports.
• Order product and materials as necessary.
• Maintain daily par levels and restock orders.
• Ensure team knowledge of brand and menu items.
• Report equipment issues and low supplies to supervisor.
• Bi-monthly and monthly inventory assessment.
• Clean and sanitize areas and equipment.
• Receive stock and store properly.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads.
• Being a team player assist and support in all areas of restaurant when needed
• Makes dressings and sauces for sandwiches and pastries.
• Ensures sandwich display is presentable for internal and external customers
• Completes various reports for records such as; production, usage and waste
• Order product and materials, as necessary
• Maintains daily par levels and restocks station orders set up orders
• Demonstrates knowledge of the brand and menu items
• Informs supervisor when equipment is not working properly and when food supplies are getting low.
• Bi-monthly and monthly inventory assessment.
• Clean and sanitizes refrigerator, freezer and storage; work areas (counters/floors), equipment, containers, utensils and dishes.
• Receive stock and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 1 year of food handling or related experience
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife handling
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Stellar customer service, both internally and externally.
