Job summary

PTW Energy Services, Inc. in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a reliable Sandblaster to join our team. You will sandblast structural components, prepare surfaces, and operate blasting equipment on site, ensuring quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of industrial sandblasting or painting experience, knowledge of blasting techniques, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. A valid driver's license and CSA-approved safety boots are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience sandblasting and/or painting in an industrial capacity.
• Knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques and equipment.
• Understanding of surface preparation standards.
• Ability to read work instructions and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Awareness of workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Sandblasts structural steel.
• Clean and prepares surfaces and materials for painting.
• Operate and maintains blasting equipment.
• Move fabricated materials to designated areas.
• Perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Cleans surfaces and materials for shipping.
• Inspect final product for conformance with specifications.
• Ensure housekeeping in daily assigned area.
• Comply with PTW health and safety manual and OH&S regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sandblastsstructural steel
• Cleanand prepareskids and material for painting
• Operateand maintainsandblasting equipment
• Movefabricated materials to designated areas
• Performdaily maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Cleanskids and material for shipping
• Inspectfinal product, ensuring conformance to specifications
• Ensures housekeeping is completed in daily assigned area.
• Complywith standards and procedures of the PTW health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulation

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
