ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The objective of Sanajiksanut is to increase Inuit workforce in all of AEM’s Nunavut operations by contributing to the development of skills and competencies of the Inuit population in the Kivalliq region. The Sanajiksanut Process is composed of 4 steps: Employment Information Session, Online Application, Pre-employment Training, and Employment. In completing these stages of the Sanajiksanut Process, applicants will better prepare themselves for future employment with AEM or one of its contractors.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

We are looking for potential candidates interested to work for the Kitchen department to both Meadowbank Complex (Agnico Eagle positions) and Meliadine Mine (Contractor positions - Tangmaarvik).

TASKS:

• Operate the dishwasher, empty garbage and clean the dishwasher area and general cafeteria;
• Clean and set up tables, clean garbage storage, gray containers, etc.;
• Weekly cleaning of ovens, vents, fryer, hotplates, etc.;
• Execute preparation of daily food;
• Set up and take down of fruit and salad buffet;
• Cleaning of equipment and workplace environment;
• Follow health & safety procedures.
