Training Program
  1. Attend a 42-day training (3 rotations) program at the Meliadine mine site;
  2. Learn how to operate heavy equipment such as vacuum trucks, haul trucks, and roller packers;
  3. Follow the trainer’s instructions at all times;
  4. Those who successfully complete the program will be hired as full-time, permanent Agnico Eagle employees with the Surface Operations Department.
Requirements to Succeed
  • Nunavut driver’s license class 5 or equivalent;
  • Driver’s license class 3 is considered an asset;
  • Willingness to learn;
  • Possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written).
