Join Our Team as a Sample Preparation Technician (General Labour)

At ALS, we are seeking a dedicated Sample Preparation Technician to join our Sample Preparation Department. This role involves working with client samples and preparing them for analysis in our laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ringing, sieving (including international soils), crushing, and splitting under supervision;
• Load and unload drying ovens;
• Maintain accurate production logs;
• Ensure lab cleanliness through general cleaning duties;
• Assist with layout tasks as needed;
• Follow established methods to ensure analytical quality;
• Adhere to safety regulations and ALS policies;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

• Good hand-eye coordination;
• Ability to work independently and in a team;
• Basic comprehension of alpha/numeric data;
• Basic English communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
• Clean-shaven to wear protective equipment;
• Wearing PPE such as masks and gloves when required;
• Ability to stand for a full shift;
• Ability to perform desk work and sedentary tasks as needed.
