Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a hands-on Technician for an onsite role near Regina, Saskatchewan. You will monitor and operate the test facilities process system, collect brine samples, and assist with maintenance while keeping precise records in regulatory compliance.

The position requires a high school diploma with optional experience in brine systems or process testing. Candidates should be prepared for 12-hour rotating shifts and outdoor/industrial site work with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with brine systems, solution mining, or process testing is an asset.
• Industrial/site experience in process or trades is an asset.
• Experience with HMI or production software is an asset.
• Trades training in millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation or electrical is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor test facilities process system within defined parameters.
• Record flow, temperature, pressure and volumes accurately.
• Collect and log brine sample results per protocols.
• Assist with offloading salt to storage silo and ensure procedures.
• Identify and report operational issues to Supervisor promptly.
• Support lockout/tagout for maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance; wear PPE.
• Drive to collect samples or bring supplies as required.
• Collaborate with site team and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Location: Onsite– 55 KM SE from Regina, along highway #33.

PositionType: Full-Time, Shift Work, Dayand Night shift (12-hour rotating shifts)

This role includes monitoring and operating the test facilities process system andcontrols. The Technician will also be responsible for the collection andanalysis of brine samples, as well as assisting with general equipmentmaintenance and keeping precise operational records in compliance with theregulations set forth by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources(MER), the Water Security Agency (WSA), and the Ministry of Environment (MOE).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate solution mining systems as directed in aspecific range of process parameters. This system consists of pumps,valves, filtration units, brine mixing equipment, and a conveyor.
• Independently monitor and record process conditionssuch as flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and volumes.
• Collect, analyze, and log results of brine samples. Followapproved sampling and analysing protocols.
• Assist and oversee the offloading of salt from atransport trailer to a storage silo, ensuring that the appropriateprocedures are followed.
• Identify and report operational issues, leaks, spills,or abnormal readings or conditions. Ensure they are clearly and promptly communicatedto the Supervisor.
• Support the isolation and lockout of process equipmentfor maintenance and safely assist with minor equipment repairs andmaintenance.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards through regulararea cleanup.
• Drive to deliver samplesor pick up supplies with company vehicle as required.
• Work closely andcooperatively with site team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma (Grade 12) required.
• Previous experience with brine systems, solutionmining, or process testing considered an asset.
• Experience working in an industrial or constructionsite setting with process and/or trades experience an asset.
• Experience with HMI or production software an asset.
• Trades training an asset - specifically inmillwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation, electrical.
  

Required Certifications:

• Class 5 Driver’s License
• Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT)
