Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Technician to monitor and operate brine processing facilities at an onsite plant 55 KM SE from Regina, SK. You will collect samples, log data, and assist with maintenance while following MER, WSA, MOE regulations.

Roles include 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights) in an industrial site with potential brine exposure. A Grade 12 diploma and prior process/industrial experience are assets. Class 5 license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with brine systems, solution mining, or process testing is a plus.
• Industrial/construction site experience with process equipment is a plus.
• Experience with HMI or production software is a plus.
• Trades training in millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation or electrical is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate mining process systems including pumps, valves, filtration, brine mixing, and conveyors.
• Monitor and record flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and volumes.
• Collect, analyze, and log brine samples per protocols.
• Assist with offloading salt from transport trailers to storage silos.
• Identify and report operational issues to Supervisor.
• Support isolation/lockout of process equipment for maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety around the site.
• Drive to deliver samples or pick up supplies as needed.
• Collaborate closely with site team members.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Job description

Location: Onsite– 55 KM SE from Regina, along highway #33.

PositionType: Full-Time, Shift Work, Dayand Night shift (12-hour rotating shifts)

This role includes monitoring and operating the test facilities process system andcontrols. The Technician will also be responsible for the collection andanalysis of brine samples, as well as assisting with general equipmentmaintenance and keeping precise operational records in compliance with theregulations set forth by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources(MER), the Water Security Agency (WSA), and the Ministry of Environment (MOE).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate solution mining systems as directed in aspecific range of process parameters. This system consists of pumps,valves, filtration units, brine mixing equipment, and a conveyor.
• Independently monitor and record process conditionssuch as flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and volumes.
• Collect, analyze, and log results of brine samples. Followapproved sampling and analysing protocols.
• Assist and oversee the offloading of salt from atransport trailer to a storage silo, ensuring that the appropriateprocedures are followed.
• Identify and report operational issues, leaks, spills,or abnormal readings or conditions. Ensure they are clearly and promptly communicatedto the Supervisor.
• Support the isolation and lockout of process equipmentfor maintenance and safely assist with minor equipment repairs andmaintenance.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards through regulararea cleanup.
• Drive to deliver samplesor pick up supplies with company vehicle as required.
• Work closely andcooperatively with site team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma (Grade 12) required.
• Previous experience with brine systems, solutionmining, or process testing considered an asset.
• Experience working in an industrial or constructionsite setting with process and/or trades experience an asset.
• Experience with HMI or production software an asset.
• Trades training an asset - specifically inmillwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation, electrical.
  

Required Certifications:

• Class 5 Driver’s License
• Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT)
