Job summary

Paracel Laboratories is recruiting for a full-time Sample Custodian to be the frontline liaison between clients and lab operations at our Ottawa Laboratory. Working within the Sample Management group, you will oversee the life cycle of samples, ensure chain of custody, and support dispatch and logging in LIMS.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and a team player with solid data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience in inventory or materials management is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office; data entry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and inspect samples; verify chain of custody.
• Greet clients and handle phone inquiries.
• Assist with sample submissions and inquiries.
• Log into LIMS and generate labels and reports.
• Manage field supplies and inventory.
• Coordinate with account managers on submission issues.
• Handle shipping and transfers of samples.
• Follow QA/QC and safety policies.
