Job summary

Paracel Laboratories in Ottawa seeks an Intermediate Lab Analyst in Organics. This hands-on role ensures deadlines and quality targets are met, with extensive GC and GC-MS work, including maintenance and troubleshooting.

You will address complex issues, ensure QA/QC, investigate non-conformances, and assist in research under the Lab Director or Manager. On-site at 2319 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, the position offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or higher in Chemistry (or related field) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in environmental testing and ISO 17025 lab environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sample prep and GC-MS instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Meet analysis turnaround times with the Lab Manager.
• Provide direct support to the organics group.
• Oversee training and development of Junior/Intermediate Analysts.
• Monitor workload within the organics section.
• Investigate non-conformances with Lab Director/Manager.
• Ensure QA/QC and safety policies are followed.
