Job summary

OPTEL is a leading provider of traceability solutions across health, pharma and manufacturing. The Sales Solutions Specialist acts as the technical reference for the Business Leader and the budget-proposal team, analyzing market needs and supporting viable solutions aligned with the organisation’s business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong judgement, discretion and thoroughness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Autonomy and strong organisational skills.
  • Adaptability and thriving in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates aligned with target margins.
  • Verify validity, compliance and feasibility of requests.
  • Act as a technical resource for stakeholders.
  • Perform any other related duties.

The Sales Solutions Specialist acts as the technical point of reference for the Business Leader and the team responsible for budgetary proposals. The role primarily involves analysing market and customer needs, assessing the work required to address them, and supporting the development of suitable, viable solutions aligned with the organisation’s business objectives.


Key Responsibilities


  • - Build strong, lasting relationships with the sales team and customers within the sector to ensure that technological solutions continue to evolve in line with their needs;

  • - Gather and analyse the information required to assess the work involved;

  • - Translate market needs and expectations into clear requirements for the development teams;

  • - Collaborate with various departments to obtain the information needed to prepare proposals;

  • - Provide the team responsible for budgetary proposals with complete, reliable and well-structured information;

  • - Work with the Business Leader to define market requirements for current and future solutions;

  • - Identify and assess the risks associated with requests for proposals;

  • - Prepare cost estimates based on the information collected, while ensuring alignment with target margins;

  • - Verify the validity, compliance and feasibility of requests in accordance with established processes;

  • - Act as a technical resource for internal and external stakeholders;

  • - Perform any other related duties.


Required Skills


  • - Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;

  • - Five years of experience in a similar role;

  • - Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment;

  • - Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written;

  • - Sound judgement, discretion and thoroughness;

  • - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously;

  • - Autonomy and strong organisational skills;
