The Family Service Counselor is responsible for serving client families by making at-need cemetery arrangements and selling pre-need arrangements. They serve families with personalized service and play a key role in generating revenue for the cemetery, acting as the primary contact for families.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead Generation

• Prospect for 1-2 hours daily
• Obtain referrals from served families
• Build community and civic relationships
• Present to families and referred prospects
• Track activity levels to ensure productivity

Build Relationships with Families

• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries
• Listen and communicate honestly and sincerely
• Understand family needs and offer valuable solutions
• Maintain contact to ensure satisfaction
• Prepare for appointments with professionalism
• Follow up on customer requests and issues
• Build trust to earn referrals and educate on pre-planning benefits

Teamwork

• Ensure seamless service from at-need to aftercare and future protection

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent experience

Experience

Licenses

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record

• Pass presentation certification within 30 days
• Work evenings and weekends as needed
