Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Retail Outfitter in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will join a team to deliver legendary customer service, using strong product knowledge to help customers find the right outdoor gear.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, promoting programs, maintaining displays, and resolving issues. Outdoor lifestyle passion and willingness to learn are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Summary

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, a Retail Outfitter will work within a team to create a world class shopping experience by providing legendary customer service and exceptional product knowledge to every customer.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
