Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Retail Outfitter to join our Calgary team. You will deliver legendary customer service, assist customers in selecting products, and promote company programs while maintaining in-store presentation and merchandise standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in sales or service, a high school diploma, and strong ability to assess customer needs and offer appropriate recommendations. A passion for outdoors and knowledge of relevant trends are valued.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
