Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Retail Outfitter in Calgary to join our team and deliver legendary customer service with expert product knowledge across the outdoors category.

You will help customers choose products, promote promotions, and maintain attractive store presentation while staying informed about outdoor trends. Prior sales or service experience is preferred; we welcome applicants with disabilities and provide accommodations upon request.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

Summary

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, a Retail Outfitter will work within a team to create a world class shopping experience by providing legendary customer service and exceptional product knowledge to every customer.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle

Qualifications
