Job summary

Canadian Manufacturing is seeking a Sales Manager in Canada to lead an Outside Sales team, develop regional strategies, and drive growth across construction materials. The role requires building strong customer relationships, guiding performance, and leveraging Salesforce for forecasting and reporting.

You will collaborate with branch teams, coordinate budgeting and planning, and travel within the region to meet objectives and expand our market presence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales leadership experience within construction materials, building products, roofing, or distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of commercial and residential construction sales processes.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.
• Experience developing customer relationships and driving business growth.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
• Ability to analyze sales performance data and translate insights into action plans.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally, if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Outside Sales Representatives to achieve sales and margin objectives.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs, joint sales calls, and performance discussions to support employee development and customer engagement.
• Drive growth through new business development, market expansion, and strengthening existing customer relationships.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, consultants, vendors, and key accounts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer needs to identify opportunities and risks.
• Ensure effective use of Salesforce and other systems to maintain accurate customer activity, pipelines, forecasts, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers and operational teams to ensure strong communication, customer satisfaction, and execution.
• Review sales performance metrics and provide ongoing coaching, accountability, and support to the team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning initiatives.
• Represent the company at customer events, trade shows, networking functions, and industry activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and safety expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.
