Job summary

Morningstar Sustainalytics in Toronto is seeking a driven Sales Executive to grow the Americas territory, expanding existing client relationships and pursuing new prospects. You will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and renewal—while partnering with Client Success and product teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles (preferably within financial services, data, or SaaS).
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive, quota-driven environment.
  • Strong interest in ESG, sustainable finance, and investment markets.
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions clearly and deliver value-based, consultative sales conversations.
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline and prioritize effectively across a large and diverse territory.
  • High level of motivation, resilience, and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and geographies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish or French is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, environmental studies, or a related field.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Location

Toronto (with coverage across the Americas region)
