Job summary

InnVest Hotels in Canada seeks a versatile Sales and Marketing coordinator to drive opportunities in SMERF and athletic segments, coordinate group and event logistics, and support marketing initiatives.

You will collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing, handle client communications, and help ensure events run smoothly from planning through post-event review.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in sales.
• Supervisory experience desirable.

Activities:

Sales & Business Development

• Actively identify and develop opportunities within SMERF and Athletic segments.
• Generate new business through inquiries, site tours, and outbound prospecting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and long‑term account growth.
• Manage client communication pre arrival, in house, and post event to ensure satisfaction and re solicitation opportunities.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, target accounts, and competitive insights.
• Assist in drafting proposals and contracts
• Support rate code and block builds within the PMS.
• Participate in annual sales planning and monthly sales and budget meetings.

Event & Group Coordination

• Act as the primary liaison once contracts are executed, ensuring smooth and professional communication throughout the lifecycle of the group.
• Coordinate all group and event logistics including:
• Rooming lists
• Payment collection
• Group meals and catering functions
• BEO preparation
• Final billing
• Lead internal coordination with hotel departments to ensure all event details are executed as contracted.
• Support and/or lead BEO meetings to align operations with client expectations.
• Maintain accurate arrival calendars and catering revenue reporting.
• Conduct post event follow up and evaluations to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and PMS systems, including client profiles, group details, and sales activities.
• Support the sales team with administrative tasks including reporting, documentation, and file management.
• Assist with VIP arrivals, welcome amenities, and special requests.
• Ensure all group documentation is complete, organized, and accessible.

Marketing Support

• Generate ideas and contribute to the monthly social media content calendar to support brand awareness and engagement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing, Sales Manager and General Manager.

COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:

Education/ Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years’ experience in sales and supervisory experience desirable. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
