Job Description:

We seek a Senior Manager of Sales Engineering to sell to product and technical teams at communication service providers (CSPs), with experience in digital BSS. The role involves becoming a trusted technical advisor. This position is based in Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical sales efforts across the Americas
  • Support digital BSS sales activities, including qualifying prospects, preparing proposals, and responding to RFPs/RFIs
  • Build relationships with telecom technical, BSS, IT, and engineering leaders
  • Drive technical sales strategy for DNO offerings (billing, charging, eSIM)
  • Create reusable solution frameworks and reference architectures for Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators
  • Coordinate with product and engineering teams to align roadmaps and messaging
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Assist with onboarding customers after deal closure and hand over to account management and delivery teams
  • Conduct demos, PoCs, and technical workshops tailored to clients
  • Generate customer references and case studies
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, account management, and technical teams
Requirements:
  • 10+ years in BSS supporting technical sales to VP-level telecom executives
  • Strong technical background in selling BSS and software solutions
  • Deep understanding of mobile and broadband telecom IT and digital systems
  • Experience with ordering, activation, fulfillment, charging, billing, catalog, and eSIM products
  • Familiarity with AWS and public cloud infrastructure
  • Proven ability to deliver plans in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments
  • Experience leading demos, PoCs, and sandbox environments
  • Knowledge of telecom standards like TMForum, Camara, GSMA
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Digital savvy, open to new technologies
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in global time zones and travel as needed
  • Availability to work in LotusFlare’s Toronto office most days
