Job Description:

As a Senior Manager of Sales Engineering, you will be responsible for selling into product and technical teams at communications service providers (CSPs), with a focus on digital BSS experience. Your goal is to become a trusted technical advisor to our customers. This role is based in Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and solution leadership in all technical sales in the Americas.
  • Support digital BSS-focused sales activities, including qualifying prospects, preparing proposals, and responding to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technical, BSS, IT, and engineering leaders in the telecom domain.
  • Own and drive the technical sales strategy for DNO offerings (billing, charging, eSIM, etc.).
  • Develop reusable solution frameworks and reference architectures for Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to align roadmaps and technical messaging with market needs.
  • Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in onboarding customers post-deal and coordinate hand-over to account management and delivery teams.
  • Provide demos, PoCs, and technical workshops tailored to customer needs.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, references, and case studies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Account Management, and technical colleagues.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience supporting technical sales in BSS to VP-level telecom executives.
  • Strong technical background in BSS solutions and software sales.
  • Excellent understanding of mobile and broadband telecom IT and digital systems.
  • Experience with ordering, activation, fulfillment, charging, billing, catalog, and eSIM products.
  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure, including AWS.
  • Experience delivering plans in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, ambiguous environments.
  • Proven ability to lead demos, PoCs, and sandbox environments.
  • Knowledge of telecom standards like TMForum, Camara, and GSMA.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Digital savvy, open to new digital technologies and trends.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible to work across global time zones; some travel required.
  • Ability to work in LotusFlare’s Toronto office most days.
