Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO International, Inc is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer in Mississauga, Canada. You will support quotes, product specifications, order management, change orders, upgrades, and inquiries while coordinating with production teams to understand customer needs.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or technical sales.
• Experience preparing commercial quotations, proposals, and managing customer opportunities.
• Strong technical aptitude to understand industrial equipment and customer processes.
• Bilingual English/French may be required; legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide quotes, change orders, and upgrade support; answer inquiries on metal detection, X-ray, Check weighing, and Vision equipment.
• Work with Technical Applications and Engineering teams on equipment specifications.
• Identify price discrepancies.
• Manage incoming demands such as phone calls, emails, service, or mt.com requests with quality, urgency, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with Field Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Tech Support, and Contract departments; provide appropriate level of support for product/service inquiries, order review, and order status.
• Conduct preinstall calls with Field Sales Technician and Customers.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Support sales growth initiatives through outbound customer outreach, campaign follow-up, installed base reviews, and lead generation activities.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

You will help educate established accounts on new products and developments while coordinating with production teams to understand customer needs. You will also prepare quotations, terms of sale, delivery dates, and service obligations to support the sales process. Additional responsibilities:

What You Need to Succeed

• College diploma or university degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, application support, or technical sales.
• Experience preparing commercial quotations, proposals, and managing customer opportunities.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand industrial equipment, applications, and customer processes.
• Experience supporting capital equipment sales is considered an asset.
• Bilingual (English/French) may be required.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
