Job Summary:

The Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for Supermicro. This includes creating plans and programs to expand into new markets and customer segments, leveraging channels and strategic partnerships. The role involves strategic planning and execution to generate revenue, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration across all organizational levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement strategies to acquire and retain customer accounts.
  2. Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales with Government agencies, Data Centers/Cloud, Gaming, and HPC industries.
  3. Conduct outbound cold calls to potential System integrators, VARs, and OEM customers.
  4. Identify opportunities for senior management to generate revenue from high-level executives.
  5. Build a pipeline of short-term and long-term opportunities targeting specific markets.
  6. Monitor inventory, negotiate pricing, manage orders, address credit issues, and handle returns.
  7. Travel to customer sites to present products and maintain account relationships.
  8. Supervise or co-supervise sales team members, including providing training, development, and performance management.
  9. Provide weekly sales reports and customer meeting/call reports as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in server, storage, networking, or AI sales environment.
  • Results-driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, executive presence, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Willingness to utilize self-management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% or as needed.
Salary Range:

$159,000 - $193,000

The offered salary depends on factors such as location, experience, education, skills, and market comparison. Candidates are also eligible for benefits, bonuses, and equity awards.
