Job Summary

The Sales Coordinator is an inside sales professional passionate about selling the sports and recreational experience with a competitive advantage. They are responsible for uncovering additional surface sales and booking opportunities through effective management of complex surface flow, including contracts, spot rentals, public programs, tournaments, birthday parties, and corporate events.

This role supports the entire sales and community outreach process, from promoting the complex's products and services to maintaining ongoing communication with customers throughout the customer 'life-cycle'.

Accountabilities
Business Goals, Planning, and Work Management
  • Adhere to and support Canlan's mission, vision, culture, policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage and maintain complex operating systems for ice contracts, spot rentals, programs, tournaments, and events
  • Develop and promote public programs, manage equipment rentals, develop new tournaments and rental opportunities, and grow surface sales with targets set by management
  • Handle contracts, payments, competitor analysis, and other duties as assigned
Sales and Community Outreach
  • Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue
  • Support the creation of annual surface plans and community initiatives
  • Build relationships within the market to create new revenue opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships
  • Participate in regular review processes and work as the Manager on Duty when required
Customer Focus and Relationship Management
  • Ensure customers have a best-in-class experience and satisfaction
  • Manage customer relationships from initial contact through ongoing engagement to maximize revenue and ensure long-term sustainability
Financial and Administrative Management
  • Assist in managing contracts, accounts receivable, and reporting requirements
Strategic Relationships and Conflict Management
  • Support collaboration with other departments to achieve complex goals
Abilities, Attributes, and Experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, marketing, or recreation (asset)
  • 1-2 years experience in sports/recreational environment (asset)
  • Proven sales experience, especially in inside sales
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, social media, and database management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexible scheduling including weekends
