Job summary

Sun Life Financial in Toronto is seeking a Compensation Analyst for a 14-month contract to manage the Business Development SIP. You’ll calculate monthly and quarterly incentive bonuses, onboard new staff, and collaborate with HR and Finance on reporting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and strong Excel-based modeling. The position requires 3–5 years of experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years work experience in business analysis or compensation
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, macros
• Strong mathematical, analytical and financial modeling abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Ability to maintain confidential information

Responsibilities

• Accurately and precisely calculate monthly and quarterly sales incentive bonuses
• Calculate Sales Recognition Conference points on a quarterly basis
• Onboard new sales staff with 1:1 training on their sales incentive plan
• Provide ongoing support resolving calculation-related inquiries and exceptions
• Maintain and enhance process documentation
• Identify and participate in process improvement projects
• Develop and maintain tools that support sales staff
• Attend/present sales staff training sessions
• Support quarterly and annual reporting with HR and Finance
• Model potential plan changes with Manager of Sales Compensation
